Repubs apparently voted no because they want a more expansive bill and they know this will go all the way to the Supreme Court. We already have BILLS which would prohibit this and Resolutions but they have not been funded or supported by the Democrats. This is election year hype - should we be thankful for a crumb from the crummy?

From post #34: One issue the Repubs want is for all cargo including meat, vegetables, etc. to be inspected. Govt agency in charge says they will only inspect 1%. There is more than just trucks killing us on the highway.
