No more IRS 1040 forms.... nice.

So - how would the government determine your “first $20k” in spending to be tax free???

Go to www.wjr.com

Look for the replays on the Frank Beckmann show, it was talked about for over 1 hr. last week.

There is a grass roots effort to get the Fair Tax on a ballot of some sorts here in Michigan to replace the maze of taxes that are killing this state from a competitive standpoint.

Maybe if the Fair Tax National Organization picks ONE STATE, and proves it out, will they then have momentum at the national level.

Boy do we need it in Michigan.....

Stephen Moore: We could abolish the income tax and the payroll tax, too, and replace them with a 23 percent national sales tax

More like 10%. If it's good enough for God, it's more than good enough for the government.

Fair tax is like jumbo shrimp. It’s a classic oxymoron.

Regardless of the specific method of taxation (income or sales, or user fee), the size and impact of the federal and state taxes should be reversed.

The federal government should spend money on things it is specifically authorized to do in the US Constitution; provide a common defense, deliver the mail, and regulate interstate commerce. The individual states should be where the decision is made on how much to spend on education, welfare, etc.

A 30 percent sales tax will create a blackmarket that will make illegal drug trade look like a kid on the playground pitching contraband candy. No thanks.
