Inside the former Soviet Union a foreign tourist would get arrested on the spot for photographing a bridge, any bridge.

“Don’t even get caught with a picture of your favorite bridge from back home!” went the joke.

Might have to institute something similar, and yes that will include racial profiling on Middle Eastern men.

Poland at least would put up signs indicating which buildings and structures couldn’t be photographed.

I got away with taking this picture outside Moscow in the early 80's while on a bicycle trip:
