Fox News Channel blasted for supporting pro-homosexual group

The president of an Illinois-based pro-family group says many fans of the Fox News Channel would be surprised -- and perhaps even upset -- to know that the network, which describes itself as "fair and balanced," supports a conference for homosexual journalists.

The program guide for the recent conference of the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association in San Diego featured an ad by Fox News Channel. A representative for Americans for Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH) also attended the conference, which featured homosexual media and mainstream media strategizing around a pro-homosexual perspective. AFTAH president Peter LaBarbera says Fox News has supported the pro-homosexual group for several years.

"I really believe Fox has the best coverage in a lot of these issues because they often do have both sides of the story," he explains. "But it's curious to me why they would help finance this gay journalist outfit. I attended there once; very rarely do they have someone from the opposing viewpoint."

LaBarbera encourages concerned views to contact Fox News and let them know they do not want the network supporting the pro-homosexual group.

"Yeah, I'm hoping that if enough people call that maybe Fox, and all the other stations too, should reconsider; and if they do finance this gay journalists' association, maybe they need to finance a Christian journalists' association, maybe they need to give money to WORLD magazine," says LaBarbera. "You can't have it both ways."

I've noticed that Fox News has slowly been starting to resemble the rest of the media.

Slowly resemble the rest of the media? Fox has been ahead of the pack in sleaze factor. They were just smart enough to realize that the conservative market is huge and they could generate gigantic ratings by just appearing to be "fair" as compared to the blatant bias in the rest of the media.

I would wager that it's always been part of Fox's plan to attempt to "sway" conservative viewers' opinions once they had them watching.

That's why I stopped watching.

Great point!

The only time I watch any news on TV these days is for a live event like the State of the Union or if there is other breaking news that is easier to follow on TV.

O'Reilly is a nutcase and Hannity might as well be Rooty Toot's spokesman.

They turned to the darkside quite a while ago. It’s just that being not as far left as the rest of the msm makes them seem relatively conservative.

Not surprised (Fox News isn’t really conservative; they may be better than the ‘mainstreme’ media), but it’s a well known fact many (some say the majority) of journalists in the liberal media are homosexuals (at the least homosexual supporters)..

Some interesting information about Peter Labarbera:

1. He has a vast collection of homosexual pornography.

2. He goes to a gay leather events, events dedicated to bondage and sado-masochistic practices.

He does seem to be obsessed with the topic. Why?

‘I’ve noticed that Fox News has slowly been starting to resemble the rest of the media.’

Yep. I called them tonight re Shepard Smith and James Rosen discussing the plans to attack Iran and Shepard asking about when will this happen. Why don’t they just publish the battle plan??!! Told them they need to be more concerned for the welfare of the country vs their ratings.
There are a few obvious patriots on FNC......John Gibson, Brit Hume, Charles Krauthammer...

FOX lost me after the way they treated Ron Paul. Yeah, I know Paul is the black sheep of the GOP and FR, but he’s a presidential candidate and FOX could have shown him some respect instead of Chhris Wallace sneeringly treating him like a jerk. Yet they & the GOP establishment have no problem kissing liberal pro-abortionist/homosexual rights/gun control POS Rudy’s ass.
