I’m not saying how I know ... but keeping a deer does not involve smells. Even if they are kept in a pen, droppings are similar to larger rabbit poo-poo and dry very quickly.
So, are they dry to the touch? Do they maintain their physical integrity when eaten, or do they kinda dissolve, like Maltballs?
I ask because you seem a subject-matter expert.
