The Democrats have made a serious tactical blunder in challenging Patraeus.

They are choosing to take on the U.S. Military (a definite death-wish).

While about 45% of the country will be straight-D voters no matter what, the other 55% (and even possibly a few of the Democrats themselves who don't take kindly to calling heroes "liars" in furtherance of their political agenda).

I think the Republicans are not capitalizing on the opportunity to rip the Dem's a new one!

I had not seen this. It makes them more despicable than before. I don’t know how my view of them can get any lower, but I’ll find a way.

Thank you for posting. About 20 years ago, I worked with a man who was a POW in Viet Nam for 6 years after his airplane was shot down. He said that poem was one of the things that sustained him during captivity. Fitting for Gen. Petraeus.

God Bless Our Troops

What are the chances that Fred might pick General Petraeus as his VEEP?

And If I had been him I would have been over that table with a Mac 10

What makes you think he'd need anything more than his bare hands, feet and other body parts? He'd go through 'em "like grass through a goose" (to quote another famous general.)

Although a little knife action would have made it more colorful on CSPAN I suppose. :)

Probably not bad. But OTOH, we need him as Chief of Staff of the Army, followed by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, followed, after he retires from the Army, by Secretary of Defense. Then he can be President, to heck with Vice President.

Bush Derangement Syndrome have driven these guys barking mad. They have never forgotten the 2000 election.

They've never forgiven Bush for it. I confess I'll never understood the venom against him. Whatever my differences with him are on some issues, he's a decent guy and the President deserves respect as a person.

The notion that any thinking responsible person would waste even a mouse click on visiting a cess pool type site such as the move-on is confounding to me.

I have never done so, and just about daily during the last several years I read more lines of BS attributed to that site than any other of my awareness.

I believe stupid, absurd, malicious stunts like moveon.org pulled will finally wake up the “middle-of-the-roaders” to how deeply evil, depraved and disingenuous the left really is.

I think this will hurt the RATS.

Keep it up, idiots.
