re: He also claims he was asked to lie about his role in the Hollywood fund-raiser by Edward Rendell, then chairman of the Democratic National Committee and now governor of Pennsylvania. Gov. Rendell, who isn't a defendant in the lawsuit, didn't know about Mr. Paul's felonies until the Post reported on them and never asked Mr. Paul to lie, says a spokesman.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Rendell, you lying SOB. Rendell never declared a $100,000 contribution made by Peter on June 8, 2000 - a fundraiser for which he paid at the Beverly Hills Hotel for Al Gore. The hotel cost $80,000, and Olivia Newton-John charged $20,000 for two songs. Rendell never reported a $150K stock pledge. After Aaron Tonken was indicted in California for ripping off charities, he was wearing a government wire in a conversation with Rendell. Rendell tried to bribe him with a 100K per year job in Pennsylvania. Why didn't the Justice Dept do something about that?

Here is the callsheet two days after the Aug. 12 event. Rendell called in an emergency to tell Peter that Lloyd Grove would be coming out with a story the next day. Peter should just play along and say he didn't give any money. Things would eventually blow over.

Every time David Kendall and Ed Rendell open their mouths, they’re lying. Same could pretty much be said for the Clintons - obviously - as well. These people really burn me up!
