On several occasions over the past three decades, Tehran has sent murderers to kill Americans. On none of those occasion has the United States responded forcefully. The mullahs are betting there will be no break with that precedent not by the current occupant of the Oval Office and not by whoever replaces him in 2009.
I suspect more than a few Americans would vote for a candidate who tells us the mullahs are dead wrong.

I remember the "outrage" that greeted President Bush naming Iran as part of the Axis of Evil. Yes, more than a few would vote for a candidate who has a tough plan against the mad mullahs...but it will be less than half: it'll be the Republicans. Minus the "protest voters" who, obviously due to some bizarre concatinations of circumstances, always manage to give us Democrat majorities. Must be circumstances...they claim to be "conservative". They can't be voting Democrat because they hate our country every bit at much as the leftists their rhetoric parrots, can they? (rhetorical question)
