I understand that you are sincere in your allegiance to your church’s leaders. I respect that.

However, while I may take my earthy affairs to an expert in earthy affairs, I’m not about to entrust something as critical as my relationship with God to some earthly men in robes who set themselves up as holy.

We, you and I, have a High Priest sitting at the right hand of God ready to guide us and to represent us before the Father. We don’t need someone standing between us and the Lord. We don’t need some man telling us what God wants. We have the printed word of God at our fingertips, the education to read what He tells us, and the intelligence to obey.

The Jews of the New Testament were led by leaders in fancy dress who had taken the Law of Moses, added to it, twisted its intent, and made it a convoluted burden on the good people who wanted to follow God. Read what Jesus had to say to them.

That would be in Matthew, Mark, Luke or John. New Testament.

… young women in today’s world will not listen, in general. The word on the street means more to them than any pontificated decree, unwanted pregnancy = abortion … short, simple and cheap.

I bow at the feet of the man who can speak for all of the young women in today's world. Send a couple my way.

And if the religious leader can’t control abortion … how are they going to control euthanasia.

Do you want religious leaders to try to control people's behavior?

Only a fool complains that another man has affirmed the virtue of compassion and loving kindness.

Jesus told them to go and teach.

Even you have teachers. You just pick them differently. Here, you’re trying to teach me - while saying don’t listen to teachers.

If you want to take advantage of the history and teaching of the Church you’re welcome to. If not, that’s your choice too.

I’ll stick with the original.

thanks for your reply.

I understand.

Still the Pope has authority and a lot of those facing these situations are not young.

thanks for your reply.
