No, it would be pandering to give this narrow group the answer they wanted instead of an honest answer. Fred gave an honest answer. The Schiavo case was not closely followed by the vast majority of Americans, even though some were deeply and emotionally involved. Those in the legislature at the time knew something about the case because legislation was proposed, although most of them knew little of the facts or complex litigation that had already ensued.
If this group wanted to know Fred's position on guardianships of incompetent, handicapped people, they could have asked him about that. Fred is an attorney and knows better than to make public comments about a specific legal case in which he is not fully apprised of the facts. Non-attorneys would do well to follow this example.
“”I can’t pass judgment on it. I know that good people were doing what they thought was best,” They starve her to death-Hello These are good people?
No one here is “representing” Fred.
No one cares that you don’t like Fred’s church-going habits.
No one cares that you don’t like Fred.
Fred is not going to change just for you.
I for one, could give a rats ass. This story is worn out.
Duncan Hunter all the way!!!
The Fredheads spend all day on this forum demonzing people who don't agree them with 100% of the time, including Senators (Jon Kyl, Saxby Chambliss, Larry Craig, Mel Martinez) with voting records far more conservative than Fred ever was. They rant and rave that we need to throw so-and-so out of office immediately for daring to vote against us on one bill.
But the moment someone questions whether Fred is truly Reagan reincarnate, they cry to the moderators about how unfair it is that everyone is ganging up on poor widdle Fred because we "fear" him.
The Fredheads can dish it out but they sure can't take it.
Are you sure you're old enough to be up this late? Fred was responding to this question:
"Bay News 9's "Political Connections" program asked Thompson if he thought Congress acted appropriately in its attempt to help Terri's family save her life."
Clearly the" good people" who "were doing what they thought was best, were the legislators, not those "They starve her to death (sic)".
It appears that you are so emotionally involved your reading comprehension has been seriously degraded.
Got it.I will tell a few people I know and I disagree about his reps not being here.If you all donât care I donât care.PS.I never said I didn’t like his church going habits-I never said I didn’t like Fred, tell the Truth.Wait You have no opinion.
he is obviously opposed to murder but the local laws in Florida were there to save Terri...the law inforcement officials, including the governor should have jumped in to save her life. Since all of that failed..it is a federal crime to murder someone so I believe the congress or the president should have stepped in. I hope that Fred didn’t realize how conscious Terri was, and therefore is answer was weak.
Guess what-that’s what everyone else thought.Maybe it’s true how do you know, you don’t represent him -He is blessed for that.
No one can tell what you said or never said because no one can make sense of your posts. If you try to write clear sentences, then maybe we can understand what you’re trying to say.
Again, the incongruity of your reply is overwhelming.
Goodnight Fatima.
Night oh wise one.
I’ve asked, no one seems to know....I would like to know if he would pardon Ramos and Compean. Also, next week the Dems will attempt to attach the DREAM Act and 2 other shamnesties to a Defense Bill. I’d like to know if he supports these 3 amendments.
:)If I had no opinion it wouldn’t matter FRiend. You understand what I am saying.I do live radio on pro-life issues-do you understand that?
Never mind the facts, forget the law, they have feeeeelings on this very critical national issue about the indisputably very dead Terri Schiavo!
I understand where Fred is coming from, this was a tricky question and he gave a rather safe answer. One does not have to a opinion on all issues, considering his position of similar issues(euthanasia, abortion) is well known.
Starve or not starve, that is the question.
“The question NOW is who has the balls and conservative record that we can trust as our nominee? THere arent very many, thats for sure.”
That would be Fred Thompson*
