Invitation to u FR folks: get your butt to New Hampshire Jan 3 - 6, 2008.
That's the second annual New Hampshire Liberty Forum, put on by the Free Staters. It's a good chance to experience NH and decide whether you really want to remain in that authoritarian state you currently live in.
Keynote speakers have yet to be announced, but last year's speakers included presidential candidate Ron Paul and John Stossell from ABC news....plus, it seemed, half the NH legislature. We had a lot of fun; turnout was around 300. And of course there's a lot more going on....This year the forum occurs right before the likely date of the NH presidential primary. So you can hopefully experience that too.
Here's a new trailer from last year's Liberty Forum:

and all the who-what-where-when-how for this year:

Who cares.
Who cares.
I would be more interested in a thread which asks "Will my dog lick his balls?"
Enough of this doofus already. With all the energy from keystrokes devoted to this walking irrelevance we could probably power 100,000 homes for a year.
Hmmm ... New Hampshire in January ...
Couldn’t y’all build the Free State in the Bahamas during the winter?
Yeah, that Free State Project sure has helped us here in NH so far. We’ve gone from solid red to deep blue.
Or something.
Good question... depends on whether the Circus or Freak Show is coming to town.
And yet, here you are.
It must suck when your Libertarian leader is so despised on FR, the internet home of the conservative movement, huh? Ron Paul is reaping the benefits of his actions and his words. May they bury him. Time for you to sit back, relax and take a few hits of that bong that you cherish.
lol, relax :)
RON PAUL’S A KOOK! Don’t you know that Al-Quaida will be there in 3-piece suits and bin Laden will give the keynote speech? < /Paul bashers >
LOL, tell me about it. I'd love to go one year but New Hampshire...January...I don't know. It's bad enough here in NC in Feb. I don't think man was made to live that far north..
Yet Paul threads frequently top 100 replies. Ironic, isn't it?
Ron Paul is reaping the benefits of his actions and his words.
He sure is. Dozens of more meet-up groups have formed. He's pulling in big fundraising bucks on the West Coast.
May they bury him.
Khruschhev, is that you?
Time for you to sit back, relax and take a few hits of that bong that you cherish.
I ran out. You got any more?
I'm sure it will be nice once the Global Warming really kicks in.
So IOW you support the actions of the Progressive movement of the early 20th century who somehow believed the Framers just 'forgot' to ban illicit drugs at a national level. Big government because it's 'good' for us. So much for individual freedoms and liberties eh comrade? I hear that tactic worked rather well for 'demon alcohol' for about 10 years or so....
For the record I have never used drugs nor do I plan on using drugs. But the issue is one for the separate and sovereign states and not 537 idiots sitting in Washington DC
Looks like William F. Buckley is scum to you.
I love the "conservatives" on FR - they must hate Buckley since he is against the "war on drugs". They have to hate Eisenhower, who in his farewell address warned us about the military industrial complex. Ditto to Barry Goldwater, who made a major speech about the Council on Foreign Relations and their goal of a one world government controlled by the elites.
Then there was that Reagan guy who actually believed in a smaller government. He also pulled American troops out of Lebanon after the bombing of the Marine barracks. What a cut-and-run pansy!
I just wonder who this poster thinks is not scum? And just who in the hell is a conservative to him? Bush????
Very astute, Sherlock, since this is a Ron Paul thread. Ron Paul threads attract two types of people - those who like Ron Paul, and trolls.
Incidentally, I felt no need to give my bona fides like you did in your post trashing those for legalization, but it just so happens that I have never in my life imbibed a single mind-altering substance, not even a beer. As I see it, there are two consistent positions - banning all mind altering substances (including alcohol), or legalization across the board. As I am libertarian leaning, and cognizant that this Republic somehow survived for well over a century with no drug laws, I lean towards legalization. But banning all drugs, including alcohol, is fine with me as well.
I don't even have a problem with the concept of the War on Drugs, just how it is being prosecuted. If you want to get rid of prostitution, you start arresting the Johns. If you seriously want to end the drug problem in this country, just make the punishment so severe that no one takes drugs anymore. That works just fine in Arab countries, where those in possession as executed.
I also enjoy the name-calling that is bandied about by the trolls on Ron Paul threads: Ru Paul, Paulistinians, ect. "Libertard" is a new one to me. Thanks for sharing.
