Read the link at the teacher’s name in the article. They are claiming the entire thing was a lesson tying the Declaration of Independence to todays world. He sent home the paperwork without any explanation, but claims he thought the 14 year old kids would explain to their teachers what he meant. Of course he didn’t explain it to the kids either - sounds like a huge dodge to me, but he’ll get away with it.

Actually, there is a country which was founded for the very purpose of settling people from the United States. It is called, "Liberia," and with a little encouragement I shouldn't wonder if they would accept immigrants from here.I move that we auction off this guy's American citizenship to the highest qualified bidder, and that the proceeds be used to buy him 40 acres of land, and a mule, in Liberia.
