It is the massive third world illegal immigration that will sink the GOP-and the rest of us. Don't forget abandonment of nearly all constrained-government principles. The totally out of control spending is dooming the GOP together with the failure of the president to rein in the out of control Republican congress.

Let’s say the Iranians launch a couple of nukes ~ that’s the end of the Democrats.

I believe the combination of Iraq and illegal immigration is going to be devastating to the GOP -- and 2006 was only a small hint of what's to come.
The Bush administration exposed the so-called "war on terror" as a complete fraud by pushing for unfettered access to this country for illegal aliens while 130,000+ U.S. troops are propping up an Islamic government in a Third World sh!t-hole.

There is much wisdom in your observation. If, as the President insists, we are “fighting them over there so we don’t have to fight them here” why does his Administration refuse to implement an immigration policy designed to prevent them from gaining easy entry to our homeland?

Because the war in Iraq has nothing to do with terrorism — and never did.

If the gop keeps up this stupid policy of compasionant conservatism(more spending and bigger govt) it will sink on its own.

AL Qaeda has declared Iraq as the center front of the war on us for the last 4 years, and it is in Iraq where we are annihilating Al Qaeda terrorists.
