I am a middle class taxpayer, self employed, own my home. Very typical. I do not like the present income tax system but I don’t believe the so called “Fair tax” is necessarily the answer.
I’ve seen the arguments on both sides and I see several promlematic things with the “Fair tax”. It’s presumtuous of you to believe that just because a person has problems with the “Fair tax” They love the present system. There are after all several alternatives.

I didn't say you loved the present system. I said if your tax situation was similar to mine you would undoubtedly support the FairTax. Since your tax situation isn't the same as mine, maybe you've seen an alternative proposal that's better for you. I have not seen one that is better for me or for most other people. I'm always eager to hear new proposals, and I'll happily support one that is superior to the FairTax if I hear of one.
Someday, maybe even you will come up with your own deep thought.
