Kids do what they are taught?
I certainly was NOT taught to use drugs, have sex before marriage, cheat on tests or engage in drunken mob scenes but as a youngster I was involved in those activities. It was my CHOICE to shun the way I was raised.
But I NEVER contemplated the gay life.Way too gross for me.Its against nature.

You were indirectly taught that your actions were acceptable by your freinds. Their acceptance of your actions encourage (or taught) you that those actions were “good”.

One of the reasons I did not go hog crazy with drugs was because I had a girlfriend who “frowned” upon that activity and I was taught through her unacceptance that drugs were not “good”, hence I stopped.

You were taught to use drugs by your friends acceptance and your parents inability to instill their values in you. Kids do not grow up wanted to be drug addicts or teenage mothers or deadbeats or homosexuals. But they are “taught” to do these things by thier peers and families and often the schools because many schools refuse to condemn or shun these behaivors.

Do not assume by taught I mean someone goes to little Johnny in school and teaches him how to roll a joint. But the failure of the schools and his family/peers to teach him how unacceptable an action is, is the same as teaching him to do that action.

Kids do what they are taught to do.
