And candidates who don't have respect for values voters don't win. No one in the GOP has learned a thing from 2006. Pure arrogance.

Just like a kid. Rather than do as a grown up would do, which would of course be to see a thread you have no interest in, and just bypass it. You chose instead to come in and make a juvenile comment. ROFL

Why is it some folks can’t resist the urge to do that?

“The candidates no one supports”

I prefer to call this debate “the fight for the VEEP slot.”

I attended the debate tonight, arriving in time for the 2nd and 3rd part of the debate. ~~~~~~ It was a 75 percent full house crowd, except for upper lvl. The 2nd part questions were mostly obvious everyone answered the same. Occassionally, Paul dissented and Brownback and Hunter also went against the crowd once or twice.

- Representative Hunter was very active, early to jump in and make some comments, good energy tonight. Got to meet him and he seemed quite upbeat. He was clearly the best talking about national defense and anti-terrorism, sounding very confident on it.

- Paul had a small but VERY loud/enthusiastic following. Very young too of the "alternative" crowd I guess you'd say. Paul was quick to meet right in front of stage as soon as it ended. He didn't play his anti-war card much, but talked about not "pushing our values on everyone" across the world and stop being so "woodrow wilson" of a country. Folks next to me liked hearing that.

- Cox stood out with good energy, but used a lot of cliches/buzzwords instead of some real depth. Played the "executive as CEO" angle, anti-Washington card. Claims he's the one to beat Hillary because he's not a career politician.

- Keyes was his awesome public speaking self as usual. He got a misconceived question about the UN, but quickly explained his great credentials on the matter, being the one who originally lobbied for the "Mexico City Policy." re: foreign abortion funding. He got the final 4 minutes and reminded everyone that Our Creator is the source of all freedom and not acknowledging him is a big mistake. The 45 min drive was worth it just to hear him speak live. Wow.

- An Iranian Christian immigrant had an interesting question for them about Shiite influence in Iraq and would they support more regional areas dedicated to Iraqi Christians. Paul was a NO on that question I recall.

- Brownback, Huckabee we're ok. Huckabee sought to invoke Reagan and talked about the optimism of America. Brownback nuanced his opposition to amnesty with his support for guest worker program.

- Judge Roy Moore got a THUNDEROUS applause when he was introduced, basically a standing O as well.

----- I was suprised how many young adults were there (20's - 30s). It was a very diverse crowd, and the most vocal outbursts were for Paul, and also Hunter when speaking about "we need to WIN the war in Iraq" and other a joke about about forcing the Taliban watch some of our liberal networks or something.
