Rooty is trying to re-invent himself, again.

Yup----Rooty stupidly figures he's on a roll since he opportunistically used the Move-On.org ad to reposition himself.

This is the part I liked best about Rooty's Move-on thingy:

Giuliani had to shell out $64,575 for an ad in The New York Times----Rooty "said" the ad was paid for by "contributions" to his presidential campaign.

ROTFLMSO. "Campaign contributions?" Now I've heard everything.

Rooty is a four-carat phony. Giuliani purportedly earns one million a month----he needs campaign contributions to run ads like he needs a hole in the head.

Now, who wants to hazard a guess as to which offshore account Rooty's ad money was transferred from?

Giuliani companies (that we know of) include:

(1) Giuliani Capital Advisors, LLC (AKA Giuliani Partners LLC),
(2) Giuliani Group,
(3) Giuliani-Kerik (re-named Giuliani Security and Safety, after the departure of the tainted ex-Police Commissioner),
(4) Giuliani-Van Essen,
(5) Bracewell & Giuliani LLP law firm (based in Texas with global interests), and,
(6) Giuliani Security & Safety, Asia

Was the ad money from Bracewell & Giuliani's January closings from accounts in Almaty, Kazakhstan (in the Crimea), totalling $1.625 Billion in billings.

Was the ad money from Bracewell & Giuliani's Cintra account? Cintra Concesiones de Infraestructuras de Transporte, S.A., a Spanish transportation company (lobbied for Privatization of Toll Road in Texas)

Was the ad money from Bracewell & Giuliani's Banco Santander Central Hispano, S.A. (SAN.MC, STD.N) (a bank that traded with a blacklisted Iranian Bank)

Was the ad money from the company account tied to Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chávez, who has called President Bush "the devil." Bracewell & Giuliani lobbies on behalf of Texas-based Citgo Petroleum, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Venezuelan oil company controlled by Chávez.

Sweet Jesus, Lord of Lords, God Almighty, there's so, many, many ways money can travel over the bounding waves into campaign accounts.

(BTW, you may wonder why I interjected Sweet Jesus, Lord of Lords, God Almighty above---it's b/c of stalkers who cut and paste my posts in text files for future, ah, "reference." I'm just hoping and praying they all get Carpel Tunnel Syndrome from having to highlight and delete religious references. Amen. ROTFLMSO).

Yeah, let’s see Hillary and the Virgin Mary are blood sisters, Barry Manilow and Elton John were once linebackers in the NFL, and Ted Kennedy and Bill Clinton were just misunderstood boy scouts who’ve never had a disrespectful thought about any woman. Giuliani I’ll vote for him never.

Thanks

Too bad my typing stinks. Could have had it done much faster :-)

(Luckily I have the Constitution Book-marked so that part was easy)

Well, given how much the NRA has "changed" in recent years, I'm sure Giuliani will fit right in.

That man lies with Clintonian facility.

If the NRA supports him, the NRA has been bought off.

This thread has just added to the FreeRepublic "bang list" (firearms interest list) by adding the keyword "banglist".

Any time a firearms-related thread is created on FreeRepublic, please be sure to add the "banglist" keyword to it so that interested FReepers don't miss it. Just a suggestion.

Maybe Rudy will try to "WOO" the NRA by modifying his position on the Second Amendment,,,

to ONLY allow for gun-grabbing (which he will define as NOT really gun-grabbing) from illegal aliens (which he will define as NOT really being illegal),,,

only in the confines of 'sanctuary cities' (which he will define as NOT being really sanctuary cities),,,

only for gays dressed in drag (which he will define as NOT really being gay).

That sounds like the quintessential Rudy position--covering ALL the bases.

About all Rudy has changed in the last few years are his wives — and maybe his underwear.

Howdy Liz! It’s been a while! I will just add the Tudy is only doing this because Thompson took the initiative catering to us 2nd Ammendment types by going on the gun show circuit. I’m a Hunter fan myself but it is a good move on Thompsons part.

Sorry Rooty, I aint buying it. Once a gungrabber always a gungrabber IMHO. His recent statements regarding what he claims was the absolute necessity of employing his Draconian policies regarding NYC residents and firearms clearly show that he has no concept of what the authors intended when they wrote the 2nd Amendment. If he believes that it's OK to suspend the 2nd Amendment rights of law abiding American citizens for their "own good", how many other rights is he willing to negate for our "own good"? I will never trust ANY politician who wants to deny me my rights for my "own good".

Convicted criminals may and do temporarily lose some of the rights that are constitutionally protected for law abiding Americans, and the right to keep and bear arms is one of those rights. But no public official or legislator is granted power by the Constitution under any circumstances to violate the rights of law abiding American citizens by restricting our right to keep and bear our personal firearms. According to what I have read and what I heard at the personal level from more than one 1st hand source, Rooty's administration deliberately manipulated the procedure for obtaining a gun permit in a way that made it virtually impossible for an ordinary law abiding NYC resident to obtain a permit to possess a gun. OTOH, as usual celebrities, wealthy NYC residents, and politically well connected people who believe they are above the laws we commoners are obliged to obey had few if any problems getting permits.

I have no problem with Rudy's efforts as NYC mayor to disarm convicted violent criminals, but I have a serious problem with his efforts to prevent law abiding NYC residents from exercising a constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms. That tells me that he has no respect for my constitutional rights regarding firearms, or for any other constitutional right for that matter, and AFAIC that hyper-authoritarian attitude disqualifies him for any public office which empowers the office holder with the force of law.

Add to that the fact that his stand on moral issues such as abortion and "gay" civil unions is 180 degrees opposite to my deeply held beliefs, and that his record of extra-marital affairs and divorces calls his character into question ala Bill Clinton, and the bottom line is that I will not vote for him either in the primary, or if nominated, in the general election. I realize that Hillary would be even worse, but I won't have any part in electing either of them.

Seriesly folks, shouldn't we be pleased when people come around to our way of thinking?

Of course, when they actually mean it. But when it's just a matter of political opportunism that will be forgotten or discarded the first day in office it's even worse than just ordinary lying IMHO.
