You’re right. It started out a good idea. If you paid into the system, you got to withdraw. However, Congress in its everlasting lack of wisdom over time expanded it by giving freebies to people who didn’t pay into the system. As a result, social security is broke.

However, Congress in its everlasting lack of wisdom over time expanded it by giving freebies to people who didn’t pay into the system. As a result, social security is broke. The “Nightmare” Act will result in the same if passed. Giving criminals citizenship is not the answer to the immigration problem. Enforcing the laws ALREADY on the books is the answer plus not giving every Tom, Dick and Henrietta automatic citizenship just because they’re born in the U.S. of criminal parents.
“The state knows shes illegal. The college knows shes illegal. The Feds know shes illegal. Why the hell isnt she being deported?”
Yes, my question exactly.
Any vocal illegal should be deported simply for being stupid enough to plaster a neon sign over their head. (The non-vocal ones can go, too, but we should be making an example of these idiots first.)
“Maria Duarte is clinging to her dream of becoming a social worker.”
Here come those tears again
Just walk away
I’m going back inside and turning out those light
And I’ll be in the dark but you’ll be out of sight.
Hasta la vista, Maria.
ditto. Her 15 minutes are up!
It would be unfair to give her citizenship because she and her parents stole our services for all these years. I don't want as a citizen somebody who thinks that living off the proceeds of theft entitles her to more rather than less.
Boo-effing-hoo. She’s here illegally, therefore a criminal. Period. Send her back where she came from and if she wants to come here, she can go to the end of the line and wait her turn like everyone else that immigrates to the USA legally and lawfully.
The whining is just starting.
