Ya know, Social Security started out benefiting the few.

No it did not!
It started out benefiting every individual who contributed to it.

When it was modified to become another branch of welfare, it began its slow (and deserved) death.

You’re right. It started out a good idea. If you paid into the system, you got to withdraw. However, Congress in its everlasting lack of wisdom over time expanded it by giving freebies to people who didn’t pay into the system. As a result, social security is broke.

The “Nightmare” Act will result in the same if passed. Giving criminals citizenship is not the answer to the immigration problem. Enforcing the laws ALREADY on the books is the answer plus not giving every Tom, Dick and Henrietta automatic citizenship just because they’re born in the U.S. of criminal parents.
