Craig makes first visit to Capitol since sex scandal broke
CNN ^ | 11:42 AM September 18, 2007 | Producer Ted Barret and another reporter

Barrett: "What brings you back to the Capitol today?" Craig: "Go to work." Barrett: "Are you intending to vote today, sir?" Craig: "That's my plan." Barrett: "Why decide to come back today?" Craig: "Because I'm a serving United States Senator from Idaho."

Craig then stepped into the senators' dining room on the first floor of the Capitol. On the way he passed a visibly surprised Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-South Carolina, who gave Craig a big welcome back handshake.

Maybe this is no big deal but maybe its an indication he is not resigning.

CNN is saying the day is significant because today is the Republican policy lunch with the leadership that pressured him to resign.

It’s not a sex scandal. Did he have sex? No. Did he solicit it? Probably. I wish he would just switch parties and this would all go away.

Speaking of media circus, I heard on the radio that Craig’s bathroom in the airport is now a tourist attraction of sorts. People want to have their picture taken at “the” stall.

Arrogant puke.

Isn't that #1 on the list of job requirements for a US Senator?

...who gave Craig a big welcome back handshake.

I am sure sales of Purell hand sanitizer are on the rise at the Senate drug store.

Well, I for one am not going to tap my foot and wait for him to make a decision on resigning or not.

Vegas is taking bets on which US Senator Craig will be following into the bathroom.

Did you see the stories (I think originating in gay publications) that the “Larry Craig Stall” has become a tourist attraction?

http://www.pinknews.co.uk/news/articles/2005-5475.html

>>The helpful folks at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport are fielding some interesting questions these days.

Chief among them: “Excuse me, can you please tell me where the Larry Craig bathroom is?”

“It’s become a tourist attraction,” Karen Evans, an information specialist at the airport, told the Associated Press earlier today.

Another of the airport’s friendly crew also has been busy pointing passersby to the popular restroom.

“It’s by the lottery shop, right next to the shoeshine shop,” newsstand worker Abdalla Said told AP.

And what about the man who runs that particular shoeshine shop?

“People have been going inside, taking pictures of the stall, taking pictures outside the bathroom door,” the man, Royal Zino, told the Associated Press. “man, it’s been crazy.”<<
