This is a smart strategy by Reid. He knows that, as long as the left wing is onboard, the Democrats will have HUGE gains in the House and Senate next year. They will also see a Democrat president swept to power, too. So, he is going ahead with these measures. He knows that the Republicans will block them and then he will blame them for doing so, which will help Democrats in next year’s election.
This is a tremendous partisan strategy for the Dems...it will give them total power after the 2008 elections. I wonder how badly that will hurt the future of the USA, though.
