Hunter cannot win . He can’t even best the Hucktser, and that shouldn’t be hard to do given that the Huckster is a Klinton loving nanny statist .

You should hear yourself. With that kind of attitude, the MSM already has Hillary Clinton elected to the White House. Why? A TRUE CONSERVATIVE CAN'T WIN! You said so yourself.

Hunter showed up with 8 supporters there (pre-poll). he gained 5 more (post poll). Huckabee had hundreds of supporters there. He took the other hundred from Fred, Mitt, etc, not Hunter.

They hasten to say, however, that he can't win".

Why? Why do both "they" and you just knee-jerk and blurt that presumptious postulation out repeatedly as if you are obsessed with making it some kind of ridiculous self-fulfilling prophecy???

Frankly I think your man Thompson would make a great VP for Duncan Hunter! Yup!! NO doubt about it!!!

“He can’t even best the Hucktser..”

Oh, really?

“Duncan Hunter doubled the totals of the next-closest candidate, garnering 534 of approximately 1,400 votes cast. Fred Thompson came in second with 266 votes, and Paul rounded out the top three with 217 votes.

Here are all the results:
Duncan Hunter: 534
Fred Thompson: 266
Ron Paul: 217
Mike Huckabee: 83
Rudy Giuliani: 78
Mitt Romney: 61
Ray McKinney: 28
John Cox: 10
John McCain: 8
Sam Brownback: 6
Tom Tancredo: 6
Hugh Cort: 3”

I think you need to accept the reality that the so called front runners cannot and will not win. We conservatives are in a foul mood over the leftward slide of the GOP and we won’t be easily fooled. Nor will we be insulted, intimidated or ridiculed into voting for whoever gets the nomination.

You can threaten us with Hillary but the GOP needs to own it’s own failure. Or you can claim we won’t amount to enough votes to influence the election. The fact is that between Hunter and Tancredo voters we’re a sizable block. Add the Paul voters who might actually vote for Hunter or Tancredo and you’ll find that the GOP is headed for a serious defeat.
