Agreed. Conservatives follow the liberal media line and pick a RINO because they're told only an "inclusive" candidate can win. Thus, the elimination of strong conservatives like Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy because -

Hunter has some momentum now, as does Huck and obviously Fred. Hunter has a huge gap to cross, and I plan on seeing he does just that.

I think you are wrong on the reason. It is not because Hunter is a strong Conservative that he is perceived as not being a winner. He is an unknown. He is from the house side.
Were he able to generate tons of money and blitz the TV sets all across the country, things might be different. He might become well enough known to prevail.
My thought is that we should make a strong effort to retake the House, and then (a bone to you) if he is not nominated for President, make him Speaker.
Think for a minute if you will, about what conservative goals could be accomplished with any Republican President and a good solid Conservative like Duncan Hunter as Speaker.
