British grandmother to divorce bin Laden's son after five months due to death threats
Death threats have forced a British grandmother and terror chief Osama bin Laden's son to divorce after just five months of marriage.
Jane Felix-Browne, a 51-year-old former parish councillor from Cheshire, has admitted that her marriage to Omar bin Laden, 27, has crumbled because they both feared for their lives.
She claims that her husband has received threatening calls, and that his family in Saudi Arabia were unhappy at his marriage to a Westerner.
"We are both in fear of our lives," she said. "People are opposed to my marriage because I am British. I wasn't prepared to see the man I love die. That is why we have decided to end our marriage.
"It was a really good marriage, a strong marriage," she added. "The decision will hopefully take the pressure off Omar and his family.
"I will never marry again. My heart will always be with Omar and I will take my love for him to the grave."
Mrs Felix-Browne has courted a string of controversy ever since her marriage to Omar became public in July.
She had been married five times previously when she met Mr bin Laden in September last year while she was undergoing treatment for multiple sclerosis in Egypt.
She had initially described Osama bin Laden's fourth eldest son as "the most beautiful person I had ever met. His heart is pure, he is pious, quiet, a true gentleman and he is my best friend.'
But she went on to describe the difficulties of being married to a man whose father is one of the world's most wanted terrorists, saying that her husband even received threats on his mobile phone last week.
Now she says it has become to much of a burden for the pair to carry on.
"Omar was told he shouldn't be married to me and there was a good chance he would be taken to prison," she told the Sun newspaper. "Omar knew who it was on the phone but he wouldn't tell me.
"After the call he said he felt both our lives were in jeopardy. We were both absolutely devastated. We cried for three whole days.
"The bin Laden family are afraid of the political implications of a British woman being married to the son of Osama bin Laden.
"They fear embarrassment and complications not just in their own country, but also in Britain and America."
She was sympathetic to Omar's plight saying that her husband had decided to sever his relationship with his father when he was 19, and after refusing to fight for the Taliban.
When it was revealed that Mrs Felix-Browne and Omar were married, it appeared that the couple did not share too many things in common.
She was 24 years his senior, with three children and five grandchildren of her own. She was also a well-known parish councillor in Moulton, while he worked as a scrap metal dealer in Jedda.
It was also revealed that he lived there with his second wife - a Saudi woman whom he says accepted his marriage to the Briton.
Shortly after she broke her silence on the relationship, telling the British press that she hoped to use the interest generated to campaign for peace in the Middle-East.
However, her husband did not take a similar view and at one point claimed to be 'stunned and outraged' at the attention that the couple were attracting.
Omar yesterday told the Sun: "This marriage is now over. I don't want a divorce but there are serious reasons for this break up that I can't talk about.
"I adore being with this woman. But we can't stand up when the waves from the sea are coming to wipe us out."

There is even MORE to this strange story that I am sure the newspaper did not want to get into. If Jane Felix-Browne did not convert to islam upon the marriage...OBL son is in disgrace to his family. Normally, this would be ended by beatings until Jane Felix-Browne did convert - but I guess being a well-known parish councillor has its perks...
Let's see... he was already married. She's a grandmother and peace activist. She admires his piety... and he's a Mohammedan.
Call me a skeptic on this relationship. Marriage to a Brit would certainly help him advance his cause...

I’m not sure what box to put this in. Choices: 1) Another example of the fall of western civilization when middle aged white women chase swarthy young Africans; 2) Another example of dotty menopausal women and why they need a man to guide them through those tough years; 3) Another example of nonsense with a titillating lead sentence that I really don’t care about about.
