Except that “take-out” business still uses refridgeration, disposable packaging (with spoilage and discarded product), and electricity to run their cash register, etc.
So much easier when you don’t have to “see” how “sausage” is made.
He is just letting someone else “sin” for his lifestyle.

My mother lived like that in a NYC tenement for the first third of her life.
She’s long gone to a better world, but if she were here, she’d be giving these people a big raspberry.
Oh, btw, the tenement was cold water.
And, btw, hygiene was a real problem.
