They think after the public outrage that defeated their "comprehensive" amnesty in June that we're now too indifferent and stupid to pay them any attention. As a result, they intend to accomplsh their objective in stealthy increments and piecemeal legislation. As with Durbin's DREAM ACT that they snuck into the Defense Appropriations bill, etc.

SSDD. The critters in Babylon-on-the-Potomac, whether RATs or RINOs, will persist until: 1) They are kicked out of office in the next election; 2) They keep trying to force shamnesty in various ways down our throats and push the 80% opposed to shamnesty too far and it blows up in their faces; 3) They kick the bucket after eating some bad sushi.
