“The only way to get any kind of significant vote out of today’s dominant black culture would be to out-welfare the Far Left.”

Even that would not work.
We might get some inroads if we bought out every black preacher, as well as Jessie and Al Shakedown, but even that is questionable.

They’re missing the boat, here. Speaking or debating before minority organizations is *different* than speaking or debating before *Conservative* minority organizations.

Such organizations exist, and should be encouraged to offer multiple speaking and debate engagements of all kinds. And the candidates would take them up on this, even further snubbing the leftist minority organizations that despise them.

Even if the Conservative minority organizations are smaller, it doesn’t matter, since the event will be televised. And in return, the status of such organizations will be elevated. Minority Conservatives will seek them out and become members just so that they can attend future speaking engagements and debates.

And to heck with the NAACP. Let their liberal masters speak before them.

As to Newt (who perhaps is a brilliant History teacher/writer/speaker), he is a disgraced "former" GOP leader, who sold out his 1996 team to go along with Clinton on more than one occasion, so listening to him on such matters is ridiculous!

Newt started selling out shortly after the 1994 election. Remember that $4 million advance for his book, as he was taking the Speaker's gavel? It was all legal, as Rush and others said daily. And it was legal...but I found it unseemly and unethical.

Weeks later, Newt backed down. While he is a brilliant thinker, I consider him just another REMF.

Yes, I'm a Fredhead. I may not be in complete agreement with him on every issue, but I want my future President to be comfortable in his own skin. I don't see that quality in the other candidates. If that quality is there, their stance on the issues is not to my liking.

Is Newt watching the “View” or something?

So if Hollywood liberals call us racists, then we have to respond by pandering?

Nonsense.

"For Republicans to consistently refuse to engage in front of an African American or Latino audience is an enormous error," said former House speaker Newt Gingrich (Ga.), who has not yet ruled out a White House run himself.

Not sure why they are all skipping. I don't believe that it's really a racism thing, but I wonder if it's a "what's the point, they aren't voting for us anyway" thing...
