Coalition forces on Thursday arrested a suspected member of an elite Iranian unit that has been accused of training and equipping insurgents in Iraq, the U.S. military said.
The military said the suspect, who was not identified, is a member of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps - Quds Force.
The U.S. military calls the force "a covert action arm of the Iranian government responsible for aiding lethal attacks against the Iraqi government and coalition forces."

It is suspected and suggested in the article that this sect of the Iranian army is bringing in roadside bombs into Iraq to use against coalition forces.
How much evidence do we need to prove Iran is using Iraq to fight a proxy war against the United States?
Slice him up and feed him to pigs....then show the video tape....
Since “we” find such actions too squeamish, hand him over to the Iraqis for such a punishment. ;-)
A NEW WATER BOARD CONTESTANT! Let’s see if he can beat KSM’s record of 2 minutes.
I would love to return the favor that Iran did to our US citizens in 1979 when Abinijahad steps foot on US Soil, only put him down at gitmo with the other terrorists where he belongs. Better yet, his plane needs to have “instrumentation trouble” and take a dive right into the shark infested waters off of Cuba!
But we haven’t the guts to capture their boss in NYC !!
‘How much evidence do we need to prove Iran is using Iraq to fight a proxy war against the United States?’
For the lefwingnuts and Ron Paul there can never be enough evidence.
guantanamo bay, immediately...
before the press finds out.
The networks would refuse to cover it. ;-)
I think the Quds Force is a part of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards & not a part of the regular Iranian Army. It’s an important distinction. The Revolutionary Guards ultimate job is to protect the Ayatollas — against their own army, if necessary. A kind of political-military counterweight, if you will.
The Quds Force is focused outward on spreading the Iranian Revolution to other Muslim areas — especially amoung the Shia.
Cry “Havoc!” and let loose the dogs of war!
“A kind of political-military counterweight, if you will.” Just like their heroes in the Nazi SS...
Please use original article headlines.
Sounds like the same role the SS filled in Hitler's third Reich

Iran is having the luxury of waging a one-sided war. They are breaking all the rules with impunity. I wonder how much longer that will go on?
It would appear Iraq has an Iranian illegal migrant problem.
Salim was parked in his car outside the bus station when two men got out of their car and opened fire, killing him instantly.
Note: The '15 Shaban Movement' has close ties with the Iranian intelligence service 'Ittilaat' and is behind the murders of many prominent Sunnis in al-Basrah.
And Ahmanutjob denies any knowledge.
The photo of this guy should be shown all over the Media the day Aknutjob shows up.
I'm only a social studies teacher so I'm not as picky as my wife, the English teacher and she'd never let this one slip....loose.
The “American” left is so infested with pansies who would give up their own mother in order to avoid having to stand up to a real threat,
that we’ll probably never (unless Fred does it) actually take the actions required should we openly acknowledge that Iran is at war with us.
Send him to Columbia University and subject him to “sharp questioning” from the faculty. He wishes.
What is Klingon for water-boarding?
(Chang?)
Now I would love to see Bush use the same kind of fire in going right at the Iranians over this that he used in his presser this AM. He should make it clear that he considers this an act of war by Iran against the US and if Iran does not immediately cease and desist, Iran will be one big Texas BBQ in short order.
He should also let Ahmadenedjja0djjdooddoo know right now that if he sets foot on the soil of New York City anywhere other than the UN, he will be arrested and turned over to NYFD, NYPD and families of 9/11 victims for disposition.
Let the Kurds handle him.
It would appear Iraq has an Iranian illegal migrant problem.
He was probably hanging around the Iraq home depot sidewalk looking to do some drywall work.
Don't know the word, but it probably looks something like this:
darn....you’re right! :>)
A curse shall light upon the limbs of men;
Domestic fury and fierce civil strife
Shall cumber all the parts of Italy;
Blood and destruction shall be so in use
And dreadful objects so familiar
That mothers shall but smile when they behold
Their infants quarter’d with the hands of war;
All pity choked with custom of fell deeds:
And Caesar’s spirit, ranging for revenge,
With Ate by his side come hot from hell,
Shall in these confines with a monarch’s voice
Cry ‘Havoc,’ and let slip the dogs of war;
That this foul deed shall smell above the earth
With carrion men, groaning for burial.
- Julius Caesar, Act 3, Scene 1.

C’mon W ... enough is enough! Faster, please!
Ping.
Your tagline...LOL!
“Good post. I wonder what Commander Kruge would do with him?”
Read him his rights-—in the original Klingon, perhaps?
Eventually we have to face the terrorist regime in Tehran and we have to deal them a strike that so painful and so devastating where they are not going to recover from it.
Send that little jihadi to my place!
When can we follow the geneva conv.and start the summary roadside executions of un-uniformed combatants.
How much more evidence do we need to arrest, and prosecute IMANUTJOB on arrival in this country, before he speaks at the UN, for his role in the attack on the Teheran Embassy, and the long term kidnapping of our diplomats, and military. He is nothing more than an international terrorist and murderer and I’m sure that complicity in the deaths of the aborted rescue mission can and ought to be part of the trial as well. Jimmy Carter will be forced to watch the proceedings.
>>>Id fly this guy to New York and bring him into the UN when Ahmanutjob is there. Id hold him accountable in front of the entire assembly, with cameras live, just like what was done with the photos of missile installations during the Cuban missile crisis.
I agree, bump
If the DOD and State Department had not spent so much time denying this activity was going on, at the level its been going on - daily, immediately after and since we took Baghdad - then we might “captured” this guy two years ago.
Instead, the Iranian supplied networks are now more well-supplied and organized than Al Queda.
Bomb, Bomb, Bomb.. Bomb, Bomb Iran....
NO, NO, not the Comfy Chair!!!!!
... or the NKVD units of the Red Army in WW2...
Hell, Bloomburg was gonna give him a VIP tour of the city. The state of mind of this country verges on retardation.
Welcome to FRee Republic.
For the sake of our troops safety the Iranian and Syrian must be firmly attacked via surgical air strikes and assisting those inside Iran & Syria longing for delayed freedom. These two terrorist régime changes should have already been accomplished thus saving the lives of hundreds of fellow Americans serving in Iraq, the very nation OPEC's Iran & Syria (supported by Russia) are providing whatever terrorist related weaponry required for Iraqi Shi'ite gangs require to wage terror attacks against our troops The super rich Saudi Wahhabist OPEC oil barons finance the Sunni killers in Iraq - and the rest of the world.

The new French government is telling the world decisive action (not more worthless talk) is necessary against Iran before Tehran's thugs gain the upper nuclear hand. Why aren't our top officials in Washington & London saying what the French officials are clearly stating regarding preparing for war -- since out enemies sure as hell and if not stopped they have plans to exterminate US, Israel and Western Europe -- unless all of us 'submit' to their moon god (gag!).
