I personally don’t give a damn what the National Association of Police Chiefs calls for. It's the International Association. Wouldn't want to leave out all those foreign chiefs. Such as the ones in Moscow, Beijing, Tokyo, London and of course Tehran and Damascus as well as other places with no Second Amendment making more difficult the job of keeping the subjects in line.
I notice that the uniforms of dictatorial types often imply higher rank by large number of ribbons,chevrons, stars and so on than their wearer's actual status warrants;why does a mere police cief get four stars ?How many divisions does he command? The excesses of various Third World leaders almost comical uniforms comes to mind. Besides,I just dislike anybody who wants to disarm the peaceable citizens.
