"how the ICE were trying to deport a 30-year, middle-aged resident, who fathered several American citizens while married to an American citizen, in the middle of his chemotherapy."

How cruel! We should at least wait until the illegal alien finishes his cancer treatment paid for by the American taxpayer.

Who said it was paid for by the American taxpayer? He was quite well-to-do. He had paid into the American insurance program, and was receiving the benefits. Being deported meant interrupting those treatments, and quite possibly a death sentence (at least the way Newsday told it, whichm mind you, is highly questionnable). Besides, the point was not the ICE SHOULDN’T deport him, but that the ICE had chosen to deport HIM why IGNORING tens of thousands of other illegals. He was singled out, apparently for the primary purpose of making the law seem draconian.
