Mexican official urges North American Union

At a Denver conference on intercontinental trade corridors, a Mexican mayor called for a swift move toward a European Union-style merger of the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

Referring to Europe, Evaristo Lenin Perez of Ciudad Acuna – a sister city of Del Rio, Texas – told the Great Plains International Conference, "It's a model we need to follow quickly."

Perez later told WND, "If only people know the benefits of opening the borders and working together, improving the quality of life for all, then no one would be opposed to the idea of a North American Union."

A spokesman for organizers of the conference – which began Wednesday and concludes today – rejected the Mexican mayor's view.

"This is not what the conference is about, it is not about a North American Union," said Joe Kiely, vice president of the Ports-to-Plains Trade Corridor Coalition. "It is about developing infrastructure and economic opportunities in the Great Plains. I am equally surprised the other items were brought up here."

Ports-to-Plains describes itself as "a planned, multimodal transportation corridor including a multi-lane divided highway that will facilitate the efficient transportation of goods and services from Mexico, through West Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Oklahoma, and ultimately on into Canada and the Pacific Northwest."

This is what all the CFR types are quietly pushing for, a Union of North America or UNA as it will eventually be called. That would be more to the liking of our friends south of the current border.

We should not kid ourselves. Our politicians are playing games with our great nation and will do way with it, while we worry about Hillary getting elected.

We should wonder why Duncan Hunter is being ignored by the big guys and Freddy is being pushed.

Isn't Thompson one of the guys who voted against tort reform? Isn't Freddy a CFR member? Won't he look the other way like Bush, while we move closer to a one world government?

Shouldn't we be told the truth about al-qaeda and it's connection at the hip with Putin's Russia?

Shhhh....there are FReepers that believe that the NAU is an urban legend....that its all wrapped in Tin Foil and is a whacko conspiracy theory....

Me...I’ve been wearing my tin foil proudly for at least the last 6 months.

NAU is POS deal for us. Mexico is waste of time for us. And we are inferior to Canada which is energy independent, has gold and diamonds, has no trade deficit, sells us lots of oil and gas.

Canad is our #1 energy supplier
Yesterday the Canada dollar pulled even with US dollar - First time in 30 years

I hate to be the one to break it to you, Joe . . . it is all about a North American Union.

North American Union is the most irritating and unpalatable term I can think of.
If Mexland wants to enjoy the prosperity of the USA let them apply for statehood.

Canada-

you forgot to mention that the beer is better tasting and has more alcohol content. Not the water downed crap we get. Just so you know, our american brewers ship/produce higher alcohol content to our brothers to the north.

Makes you wonder if Miller and Bud want an NAU if they have to produce real beer in the states.

Yeah—

Canadian beer is better. Never found it in the US but have fond memories of Labatt Dark and Molson Dark when visiting there. Only downside beer is taxed up wazoo in Canada. Was 50% more expensive than beer here. And now the exchange rate is murderous so won’t be visiting there anytime soon

Was just in Toronto three weeks ago. The beer is real. Use to love going up there when our dollar had power. Many Canadians who worked in the US wanted to be paid in US Dlrs. Guess that has changed in the last few years.

Canada, from the east to the west, is a clean country.

I liked the Labatts there (read you liked it too) Would not drink it in the US. I think bud was at 4.1 % in Toronto on the recent visit.

Sometimes, I feel I understand how my ancestors felt four years into the Civil war where the outcome was certain only the exact timing was left to question. The NAU is clearly on the attack and winning most of the battles. But, there is still hope as long as there is a will. My other ancestors experienced this in the darkest days of the Revolutionary War. They held on, and things worked for the best. This time the fight is not with arms, but with money. The Average American is at a severe disadvantage in the fight with - not people - but with Global financial interests.

Oh my, what a GRAND idea!!

Let’s see if I have this right. America has 100 gazillion dollars, Canada has 50 Gazillian dollars and Mexico has 5 bucks. Now let’s all throw what we have in a pot and share it equally.

I guess that IS a good idea...if your a from a country that has no present or future to speak of.

“At a Denver conference on intercontinental trade corridors, a Mexican mayor called for a swift move toward a European Union-style merger of the U.S., Canada and Mexico.”

Of course he wants this. The US and Canada would end up paying for most of Mexico’s burdens.

So, again, we just need to be educated. rofl
