Bad move...based on their “rules” they’ll want to have someone die for this “mistake” ...could be painful.

Apologizing to those that committed the infraction? What next, forcing the families of murder victims apologize to the murderer?
Somebody needs to give that CEO a little ‘wall to wall’ counselling.

Paint chips are the problem when it comes to toys. Lead paint flakes off of toys that children place into their mouths. Heavy metals get absorbed by the body once in the digestive tract. Lead poisoning is a very real and potentially serious problem for kids.
Their designs called for lead paint?
I hope anyone holding Mattel stock dumps it on Monday morning!
This isn’t market failure - it’s government failure, IF the U.S. government doesn’t allow lawsuits against Mattel for their DANGEROUS products, no matter where they’d been manufactured for eventual sale.
It’s got their name on it, and they’re liable for both good products (profitable ones) - & BAD (causing losses, liabilities).
It’s called the “invisible foot” of the market process - and it’s an vital complement to the “invisible hand” ... of market success.
