Well food is the most obvious danger. I don’t believe that the pet food recall was due to the Chinese deliberately trying to kill our pets. I don’t believe it was a dry run to see if they could do it to people. I think if they wanted to kill people they would have just gone ahead and poisoned food for human consumption. But, the fact that it was accidental almost makes it worse, when is the next accident going to occur and how bad will it be? People seem all to forgiving over these accidents. Accident or not it is devestating to loose a pet. This lesson has been hitting home lately as I got a puppy long after pets died from Chinese negligence. But, it is why I am sticking to making my dog food at home, I know what is going in Isis’s food. I just hope we wake up before it is too late.
I don’t believe it to be deliberate as in a form of attack. But I do not believe it to be accidental either.
I believe that it is entirely due to the communist driven lack of human dignity. As for the pet food, if China puts so little worth on human life except as to how it can benefit the “Party”, then the government not enforcing standards for food products, especially those that may go to animals, does not surprise me at all.
In other words, with the safety factor not important at all, the only thing to worry about is profit. What better way to make a profit than by using substandard or doped products?
Good for you with your pet’s health. We try to do the same.
I make my cats' food at home now too. It took a bit of doing to get my calico with the program, but her sister took to it right away. Now they're happily munching ground rabbit, chicken and turkey . Duck is on order in the next batch of ground meat. The only thing that I don't like is that some of the nutritional additives I mix into their food are doubtless sourced from China.
