I have heard the winters are really excellent, with temps frequenting the sub-zero mark and the sun showing for 3 or 4 hours/day. Been in Norway and Sweden and both are beautiful in the summer but neither have it over Alaska or Idaho. Regulation of every intimate detail of your life is fine if you like Big Brother telling when and where to excrete. Everything is very small there — hotel rooms, beds 3 feet wide, and narrow streets. Nice place to visit but I would not wish to live there. ON second thought, some of the ladies are rather stunning but all I did was look.

Don’t forget the theory of relativity.
By that i mean the extreme high cost of living.
Iceland 2.? No one except Icelanders can afford to set foot there. Very high gross wages, very low net wages. Even the Euros can’t afford visiting there. It is outrageous. I will prefer my relative high net wages along with lower prices and anything I want to see and do in the good old beautiful USA.

Did you forget the /sarc tag?

Anything below 70° is too darn cold for me.
