After Megan Williams’ mother, Carmen, sat in a Logan County courtroom to watch the court proceedings of her daughter’s alleged attackers on Tuesday, she brought Megan Williams into Kanawha County Magistrate Court to be arraigned.
Megan Williams is charged with offenses in Summers, Raleigh and Greenbrier counties. There are 11 misdemeanor counts of writing worthless checks, one misdemeanor count of obtaining under false pretenses and one felony count of failure to appear in circuit court in Summers County, according to documents provided by Kanawha County Magistrate Ward Harshbarger.

I think so, her credibility is questionable - if she lied once to the authorities, she could lie again.

There’s a story inside this story, that we don’t know yet, but my guess is that Jerry Springer is hot on the trail for it.
The story behind this story is I can’t believe that people doubt her story and aren’t leaving her alone.
like Crystal Gail Mangum past was brought up? sure I would agree. but this woman has marks over her body etc, showing evidence of abuse. I don't doubt her story.
that being said, i actually believe this woman due to the circumstances. but her credibility IS an issue. it's a relatively big issue to lawyers...and juries.
I don't see anything wrong with the kidnapping victim being held to account for any crimes she committed. Just because one is a crime victim that should not erase other responsibilities. Also, I do not see anything wrong with someone on this site speculating that there is more to the kidnapping/rape/abuse story than has been made public. I expect the same.
I feel badly for her, but I read earlier that she was dating one of the perps.

However, if it happened before, during and after the "alleged" abuse, I would say... "hmmmmmmmmmmmm...".

Not everybody might be like that Duke accuser. I don’t think her credibility as a victim of horrific crimes is in question here.
A person can be a victim of a horrific crime without that fact giving them credibility. Credibility derives from honesty, intelligence and sobriety. One person believes another because they think that other person knows and understands what they are talking about and is telling the truth in what they say. A crime victim can be crazy, stupid, dishonest, or whacked out on dope just like anyone else.
Sharpton could be in for a HUGE surprise if he shows up in that part of WV attempting to stir up more racial problems than will already exist over this. And, the overwhelming majority of these hoopies are his fellow Democrats.
I really think Sharpton coming here in WV would be a bad idea. What happened to the girl is deplorable and was done by rotten people. Also in no uncertain terms does her having bad check charges lessen what happened to her. As for hate crime charges there are already laws on the books that cover the crimes against her. There are rotten people here not unlike rotten people in any other area of the U.S. that would do such a thing. Sharpton unfortunately would bring out more then a fair share of rotten people here.
that means that if you get convicted or even arrested for say, driving without headlights, you probably also could be a rapist.......
One of the local TV stations read the transcript of her statement on the air last evening.
It included everything..such as forced lesbian sex.
A classy bunch.
