“New York is the eighth state to give licenses to illegal aliens”
Any REAL POTUS would stop this immediately!

You know we're in trouble when threads that depict the glaring destruction of our sovereignty get a few dozen posts, and NASCARS going in circles get about 1000.
Yippers!

Unfortunately, there isn’t much NY residents can do to stop this suicidal action on the part of NYS. The state is too liberal, even with Upstate NY in it.

The state Senate may overturn this imbecile's pea brain decision but I don't know about the Assembly I called my state senator and my assembly rep. about it.

I feel very sorry for the Upstaters. NYC controls the whole state and should serve as a warning to states with large cities and to any movement to abolish the Electoral College. I’ve concluded that the mental processes of people who live in a hive like atmosphere are completely different from those who like a more solitary and spacious existence. I know this doesn’t apply across the board as I know of some liberals who like large properties and some conservatives who choose to live in large cities but on the whole I believe it’s true. Kind of an osmosis of insanity because of close living conditions.

Somehow I’m reminded of the mortgage companies decision to let people self certify their incomes. Now that worked out just great didn’t it?

I used to be an upstater myself, changed my residency to Florida earlier this year. I hope that doesn’t offend anyone actually from Florida. I actually am stationed overseas. The wife and I were just sick and tired of the taxes and the feeling that our votes didn’t make a difference.

Oregon wants a combination of previous driver licenses (from another state if you are in-coming), SS card, proof of residency (utility bill, rental agreement, property deed, local checking/savings account, passport, green card, etc.), pay stub/work i.d., military i.d., student i.d., professinal licenses, and/or other proofs of residency I don't fully remember.
I actually think it is ridiculous if your name is Hopkins, Jones or McClintock and you have a birth certificate or SS card. But, the liberals here want to just hand them out to anybody who can pay and possibly register to vote. The insurance lobby wants the policy payments and they don't care where the money comes from.

I lived in Florida for a short time myself and in that time I met a LOT of people from NY and no one native to Florida, so I’m sure you didn’t offend anyone. I am so fortunate to live in a very conservative state, I can’t imagine the constant pain of having to live in a liberal state, I think I would do what you did.

What the Lefties want is these illegals to be able to go to the DMV, apply for a drivers license and then go to the next window and REGISTER TO VOTE Amazing how large groups of new voters get preferential treatment over large groups of voters. It can only mean they think they own those already registered to vote.

I called my state senator and my assembly rep. about it. Same here, these people have to be hounded just as the Senate was when they attempted to pass amnesty.
