Make no mistake, Hillary’s appeal to a significant number of people is Bill. So the table is set for the ‘smart’ and compassionate people to take back over the country. That’s exactly how this will be played. Yes, the reality is much, much, much different, but unfortunately perception is reality to a large extent in politics. So what does this have to do with Fred? Well, I absolutely think Fred is a very bright and well-intentioned guy who would be an outstanding President. That said, if the left is able to paint him as a lumbering not-so-bright right wing ideologue who doesn’t really have a grasp of the issues, they will also be able to link his candidacy to Bush and ‘more of the same’. If he is to win he can’t let that happen. Regarding Morris, I agree that he’s wrong at least as often as he is right, but I do believe that he can’t stand Hillary and I think his comments on Fred reflect his own angst. Just my opinion. For the record, I will support Fred wholeheartedly if he is the candidate, although I haven’t decided who to vote for in the primaries yet.
I agree with almost everything you said. I also will vote for and work hard to get Fred elected if he gets the nod. However I don’t think he can go up against the Clinton machine. They will paint him as a dumb, slow, hick and he is not passionate about anything. We have a big problem here. I do not fully support anyone now running. I thought Newt was the answer but he is trying too hard to get along with the Libs. I don’t know if we can win this thing with the crew we have running.
