Those Iraqis must be standing in the wrong line. We let 10,000 people in from countries that the government has labeled as “terrorist countries.” Iraqis need to get in that line and they’ll be in like Flynn.

Well I certainly saw this coming. And I’ll bet the majority will land in Minneapolis.

If they personally risked their lives and the lives of their families by working with the U.S. military as translators or working at the embassy, then I have no issue allowing them in.

Article from April. The number has increased from 7,000 to 25,000 (this article) to possibly 100,000.

U.S. may open doors to 25,000 refugees

The United States could take in up to 25,000 Iraqi refugees this year -- more than three times the number it previously agreed to admit -- in an effort to provide some relief to the crisis affecting several Arab countries, the State Department said yesterday.

No matter what you do for or to muslims, at the end of the day we will still be infidels and they will still hate us.

“Bush will boost flow of Iraqi refugees”

This is bad for business.
It telegraphs a couple of messages:

1. Flee Iraq, get a trip and home in the USA.

2. Is the war in Iraq lost? Don’t we usually take in lots of refugees
AFTER a war is over?

“Bush will boost flow of Iraqi refugees”

If Allah is all-compassionate....
Why aren’t these people being taken in by some Muslim country?

(and yeah, I know some of them might not be Muslim)

Unless those brought in are endangered former interpreters or persecuted religious minoritys, whats the point in this while we are trying to secure their country for them?
