Florida Police Arrest Teacher Who Used Abortion to Cover Up Sexual Abuse

Boyntown Beach, FL (LifeNews.com) -- Police in southern Florida have arrested a public school teacher who is accused of having sex with two of his students and using an abortion to cover up his actions. Santaluces High School drama teacher Andrew Foster, 29, allegedly started having sex with the students last year and got one of them pregnant.

Foster was arrested yesterday in Collier County by the U.S. Marshals South Florida Fugitive Task Force.

The teacher had been on the lam for about two weeks until authorities located him at a hotel in Immokalee. After officials apprehended him, they took him to the Palm Beach County Jail.

Boynton Beach Police Detective Sgt. Thomas Wallace told WPTV he thanked the task force for "their tireless efforts in assisting us in locating Andrew Foster to bring him to justice."

One of the victims, who is 18, told authorities that after she got pregnant Foster took her to an abortion center for an abortion.

He signed papers on the girl's behalf to get the abortion.

The abortion facility appears not to have told the girls' parents and they didn't know of the abortion or the sexual relations until the young woman finally confessed it to them.

Another victim told police she and Foster, who has been a teacher at the school for four years, had sexual relations at his apartment.

Foster has been held without bail until he can appear in court on Monday morning on the charges.

According to the Sun-Sentinel newspaper, Foster also mailed pornographic pictures of himself to the girls on their cell phones.

Wallace talked with the newspaper about Foster's actions and said they constitute "a heinous act."

"You send your children to school and expect them to get an education -- and not a sex education -- especially from the teachers," he said.

Pro-life advocates are concerned that abortion is frequently being used as a means of covering up sexual abuse.

Recent cases of this have surfaced in New Jersey, Connecticut, Ohio and Mississippi.

The article says “she is 18” but doesn’t say her age @ time of the abortion.

Officials said Foster had relationships with the two girls between September 2006 and September 2007. One girl told police she had sex with Foster almost daily since 2006 and kept a journal.

She told police she found out she was pregnant on June 10, a day before a class trip to Key West and the same day she found text messages on his phone sent to the second girl about their sexual relationship.

As a father of a 14-yr old daughter, this makes me want to grab this guy by the shorthairs and throw him in the nearest incinerator.

I truly hope they execute him. But short of that, they should put him in prison, so that he ends up being the b!tch of some hulking murderer, for a few weeks until he's found dead of unknown causes...

My slight take is this guy wasn’t old and neither was the students. Moral turpitude reeks within the young, who were raised that way.

Infer - the abortion facility knew about their relationship because he signed for her abortion. Planned Parenthood (assuming the facility) is notorious for being party to covering up sex related crimes.
