I think that you tend to misunderstand something when these discussions come up. There is a definite double standard on how crimes involving people of different races are handled. If you are white and engage in crimes against people of other nationalities then in liberal world the default assumption was that race was the trigger and not some other cause. If you are black and commit crimes against someone who is white then there is a real tendency to look at the situation as something involving factors other than race.

Most of the posts here tend to drip with sarcasm because the accepted norm is that whites are the racists. They are the ones who commit “hate crimes” and other groups simply are not viewed in the same manner. Far too often the liberal media jump the shark when it comes to looking at situations and injecting race into their slants and inflaming tensions beyond belief. However, the black community is filled with hypocrites who will cry racism for crimes (proven, alleged or perceived), protest, organize boycotts and whatever else they can come up with but are no where to be found when the roles are reversed.

Crime is crime and each should be treated equally in my book. If you beat up without some provication (self defense) then the reasons don’t matter do they?
