An anniversary this past week puts the lie to Ms. Viera.

In 1959, the integration crisis occurred in Little Rock high school and the military was called in to keep order.
To be sure, there have been offenses including killings and battles both physical and governmental in the intervening years, but that does not mean the war for equal rights wasn’t won.
