Dissenters not True Patriots

I will grant you that our president, George W. Bush, has made some mistakes. I will also grant that there are a lot of people out there that don't ever think of anything that he has done for the benefit of the people of this great country of ours for the simple reason that they are Democrats and will do anything to make sure their party gets back in the White House.

The letter from Christian Morgan tries to show all of the people of this country, Democrats and Republicans alike, that there are a number of things that Bush has done that makes things better for a lot of us. I think it is about time that those dissenters learn that they are not true patriots, because they are not for this country, they are only for their party of politicians.

If they are true patriots, they would make an effort to understand that there is more than one opinion in this country, and that it is those stay-at-home people that don't really know what is going on in this world. One should not believe everything he reads and hear because the opposition party is not always careful to show both sides.

How many of those supposed patriots have volunteered to serve in the Armed Forces of this great country? It is to ensure the freedom they have that those of us had the guts to serve our country in uniform, just as those brave men now serving all over the world. They know that doing so may put them in harm's way, including paying the ultimate price for that service.

I agree that it would be nice if our brave young men could come home. They joined up to serve their country in any way that was deemed necessary by those in power. They knew the danger, yet they were American Patriots in truth, and I am extremely proud of every one of them.

If we pull out now, as we did in Vietnam because of those of you out there that cried about an unjust war, those brave men and women that gave life and limb for your freedom will have died and been maimed for nothing. It is not only the Iraqi and others freedom that is at stake, it is yours and mine.

Military action against Iran is overdue, and too many anti-family social programs are still running. It’s not about our President. It’s about the Party as a whole.

Mindless nonsense. You'll get the expected fuzzies from the cheerleaders here, but it's nonsense just the same.
