I keep watching Romney buying votes in the early states and wonder if it is possible that he really can win the nomination? I think he has zero chance of beating Hillary, but if he takes Iowa, Michigan and NH he might be able to he might very well buy the nomination.

That was my thoughts. Who wants the endorsement of the RNC? Romney just made the pitch to be the anti-Bush candidate, this isn't exactly a sign of being the anti-Bush.

RNC is NOT an acronym that conservatives should allow themselves to get in the habit of thinking is Hillary Clinton. The RNC did not behave as preferred on illegals. They do behave as preferred on Iraq and they behave as preferred on tax policy and abortion. They do behave as preferred on guns.

Hillary does not. At all. Ever.

Never lose sight of this. It is Hillary that is the enemy. Romney is methodical and relentless and the executive excellence in that campaign is something the Fred people realize is the very best in both parties. This campaign will NOT commit organizational errors that plague losers. Getting RNC support is not a bad thing.

Romney will not win one southern state regardless of what happens in the early states. I actually see a split convention with Thompson going in with the most votes, followed by Romney and Rudi. It could be a very interesting convention and which way the Romney delegates go. I think Thompson's lock on the south will be enough to win it.

Zero chance of beating Hillary? Are you insane, or just paranoid? Mitt will wipe the floor with Hillary. And win the Republican nomination as well. Fred is too Hollywood, Rudy is too problematic. Get on board the Mitt express!

I'm not settled on any candidate yet, but I still haven't changed my prediction that Romney will be the next president. Don't ask me why. I have no idea. It was a flash of "knowing" the first time I heard and saw him on TV. May not mean anything, but then again.........

He has the best organization on the ground and he has the executive experience and governing experience to pull it off.

Yeah, Romney really stands for conservatism:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_w9pquznG4

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9IJUkYUbvI

PFFFT.

(Yeah, yeah, I know Romney’s suddenly conservative and, as of a couple of weeks before running for President, joined the NRA, hunted a varmit, changed his views on gun control (well, except for the “assault weapons” ban), suddenly anti-abortion (despite his impassioned promises to keep it legal), anti-gays in the Boy Scouts (despite promises to gays in this regard), worried about imposition of HillaryCare (despite imposition the same socialism in MA with some B.S. gloss to it), etc.)

I fully accept his 180 degree changes on bascially every fundamental social and economic issue held dear by conservatives as genuine.

Hahahaha. Sorry.

Who cares. This is the same RNC that supported RINOs when we least wanted them in 2006, with disastrous results. Mitt has flipped-flopped and still has not fully accounted for his liberal tendencies. Same with Rudy.

I would almost — almost -— support Hillary over Romney.

At least she is honest about being a socialist.

(Actually, I would just stay home. Or maybe vote for the Constiution Party candidate.)
