Why display such a picture anyway? I thought it was in a restaurant’s best interests to ENCOURAGE a healthy appetite...

Better check the background of that photo - it probably captures Bubba or Hitlery doing something illegal...

Eff ‘em. They should leave it up there. What possible action could that sleezeball take? Chelsea’s an adult, let her ask for it to be taken down.

She posed for the picture in the restaurant with the owner; the owner should tell Clinton to Lewinski him.

Although I question the restaurant owner's tastes, isn't this pretty much standard fare at a lot of local dining places? To display pictures of famous (or notorious) people with the owner, including many politicians?

Furthermore, as a private citizen, what business of Bill's is it if there's a picture of Chelsea somewhere?

My understanding is that the picture taken with the owner has been on the front window for years. Now the picture is there with the notification letter from clinton’s lawyer.
My question is who owns the picture.

Chelsea can’t contact the restaurant owner herself? Is she a helpless twit? Instead of contacting, or visting the owner personally to express their complaint, the first black President has a lawyer sign a letter from him? It certainly shows their pattern of threats and intimidation they’ve been well known for over the years. I’ve seen Bubba’s picture plastered at various restaurants across the country and wonder why this one restaurant is singled out from the others.

My guess is that the owner of the restaurant didn’t comp old Bill and he got pissy about having to pay for dinner.

At the very least, if I were this restaurant owner, I would ignore the letter from Clinton’s lawyers.

I would at least make them go through the expense of filing a formal complaint. I doubt it would come to that, since it is hard to see how Chelsea suffered any damages of any sort.

In any event, I doubt the law suit would survive a motion to dismiss anyway.

If it were me, I would fight it pro se just for the pure joy of unleashing against the Clintons my well practiced “pro se defendant from Hell” barrage of tactics proven to embarrass the other side and run up their expenses without incurring any of my own.

But since the restaurant owner probably doesn’t have the stomach for the fight, he should just decide to take it down when he’s ready and inform the judge — but only after he has caused the Clinton’s some legal expenses and bad PR.

The picture was taken in a public place, so her consent was not necessary.

But she posed for the picture, so it was also consensual.

Additionally, the photo belongs to the restaurant owner.

Moreover, given the fact that restaurants have the right to display even indecent photographs, he has the right to display an innocuous one.

It can hardly be considered advertising since the viewers are already customers or prospective customers - they are inside the restaurant. It is not being used as an endorsement or a solicitation.

What this is is a man who has powerful friends and who wields enough influence to ruin this man's business threatening a man who has done nothing wrong.

The NERVE! Slick is wielding his status as an ex-Prez as a weapon against a picture in the window of a restaurant nobody's heard of until now? And last time I checked, Chelsea was 1) an adult, not a child whose daddy has to protect her and 2) fully able to write her own letter if she didn't want the picture there, or 3) as an employee at a $12 billion hedge fund run by Demo tycoons, can pay for her own freaking lawyer. What in the heck is REALLY going on?

Think of this as a preview of a Hill Admin. There's more here than meets the eye, folks.

Typical Clinton response to exposure of his progeny. Is he ashamed?

P. S.
I am sending forthwith a replacement photograph
that is more likely to entertain your guests
while reminding them of our history.

Why did she pose for the photo?

Obviously she knew of the scores of similar photos displayed throughout the restaurant.
