They could have had nuclear electricity without all the stuff they are building - most countries with nuclear power generation don’t do enrichment or reprocessing. In fact they are not even building a real nuclear power-generation plant. Its all for either uranium-enrichment or making plutonium.
Everything they are doing, just like the NK’s, is building exactly what you would need to have to make nuclear weapons.
I have been getting very frustrated with the lefties on this point.
I think the US is the only nuclear-electricity nation that DOES NOT do reprocessing.
If you don’t reprocess, you have to figure out what to do with all the spent fuel for the next few million years.
