That was Tupelo, MS, where he was born. But he did spend much of his youth in Memphis, and of course Graceland is there. Memphis is where he got his first break, cutting a record at Sun Studio on Madison Avenue.
He'd roll over in his grave if he knew how bad things are there now, especially in his old neighborhood.
