“Is potassium nitrate explosive?”

I’m no expert but it is the base material for fertilizer based explosives. You have to add some other stuff to it and detonate it properly.

Again, I’m not an expert and have no plans to make any of these. (for the carnivore people watching key words)

I think fertilizer is Ammonium nitrate.... the acronym is ANFO Ammonium Nitrate Fuel Oil.

From earlier reports, I thought the PVC pipe contained black powder or some similar off the shelf reloader explosive.

I don’t think potassium nitrate in and of itsself is expolsive.
