Teen to be charged in Weare sex case

WEARE – A 17-year-old Henniker boy who admitted to having sex with his 15-year-old girlfriend will "absolutely" be arrested for sexual assault, police said yesterday.

On top of the pending criminal charge, police said the 17-year-old also was beaten by the girl's father after the father learned the two had sex.

It was Monday, Sept. 10 when the girl's father stormed school property and attacked the boy around 3 p.m., according to Turmelle.

The principal said he's upset at the number of people who have sided with the father over this incident.

"We all work so hard to give our kids a safe place to go to," he said. "Any time we have an act of violence, it's very upsetting because it is completely antithetical to what we're trying to accomplish."

I guess this principal doesn't realize that he is a big part of the problem and a good valid reason to home school kids or send them to a private school.

Teens have sex. I'm shocked.

Regardless of the reason it should not be easy or acceptable for an adult to "storm" a school and assault a student.

And yes if it was my daughter I probably would do the same thing but not on the schoolground.

A “Romeo and Juliette” exemption should apply in this case.

It looks from the article as if the two students left the school building during class time to have sex. How can you have a “safe environment” for students if they’re just wandering around?

I don’t think the father should have beaten the boy up at the school, though.

Definitely not at school. Heh heh heh. You also might want to be having a beer with a few elected officials while "the accident" happens.

My oldest daughter has been known to “accidentally” cause minor injuries to boys who think they’re entitled to more than a handshake. (Tough girl - wants to join the military and go to Iraq.)

If the other girls do anything really dumb ... well, they’ve got five brothers, so my husband could be safely in the company of a state senator when the injury to the young man with poor judgment occurs.

I took after one of my daughter's scumbag boyfriends with a iron pipe, once. I bet he never ran so hard in his whole sorry life.........

No, he probably should have waylaid the little bastard right in his car when he came to pick the girl up for their next date.

“A “Romeo and Juliette” exemption should apply in this case.”

Typically, where a 15 y.o. is involved, the statutes require that the male be 3 years or more older to establish the crime.

And when this type of thing occurs in private or parochial schools, which it does on a daily basis (the sex part), who do you blame then?

Hey Becky, didn’t Mack do something involving a shotgun to a would-be boyfriend that wouldn’t leave? LOL

"This is a joke right??? Arrest a kid and ruin his life before it even starts over having consensual sex with his girlfriend. This country is going insane"

Bump, I couldn’t agree more. That aside, and not to put words in folk's mouths, but it seems like most folks aren't talking about their opinions on this particular case such much as they are fantasizing about beating up their daughter's boyfriends.

Ditto!

Can’t you people remember what it was like to be 14-18??

The 14yo girl that was all over me I went to church with and church camp with. I was 16.

Gimme a break!!!

Before any one gets all high and mighty, I want you to pull out your family tree and do some remedial math first.

LOL. Who let another voice of reason on this thread - besides my own, of course :) -

as my dad has said since I was old enough to understand, if you look back far enough in any family you’ll find a horse thief.

Amen. This isn't a rape case, and using statuatory charges to deal with dating kids is a bit much. If daddy is so upset, he should start by having a nice loooooong sit down with his dauther. If her thighs stay in the same zip code, this doesn't happen, so that darling little angel is every bit as much to blame as the boy a grand total of two years her senior.

Note I'm not endorsing teen sex, or sex with 15 year olds.
