FIRST COLUMN IS KILLED< SECOND COLUMN IS KILLED NOT YET ID'D
Thanks for posting this.
“The dastardly duo of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are deeply saddened and very concerned”
They are so distressed by the decreasing number of deaths and injuries that they might even go Iraq and create a few themselves.
... at least its good news, though, to the rest of us!
The number of wounded hasn’t been that low since 2004. Very happy to see that
This is of course why they Dims are need a draw down of forces. The force is large enough to protect itself as it is now.
The real question should be will more force damp down the attacks even more.
Well, they themselves can fill at least two body bags.
Does that count?
MV
Dems will privately see this as a disaster for them politically.
September has (so far) 38 hostile casualties and 22 non-hostile. By comparison, August had 58 hostile casualties. So, the trend is very good. We had, by percentage, more non-hostile deaths in September. This is important to note, because just having over 150000 troops means that the odds are you are going to have 20 or so non-hostile deaths.
This is why in the PMSNBC debate this week, Clinto, Edwards, and Obama all said they might not have all troops out until after 2013. They see the handwriting on the wall and know that if in 12 months things keep improving, they will be destroyed in an election if they kept their MOVEon>ORG strategy. Typical of RATS, they will try to claim next year it was their pressure on Bush and the Iraqi gov’t that produced these marvelous results.
There’s a slew of anti-war movies on the way. If Hollywood, the DBM and the DNC can’t get defeat in the field/nightly news... they’ll create it in the theaters.
It is noticeable that there are far fewer news reports leading off with or including the dutiful headline that “x number of American troops were killed today.” That is good news. Though the media no doubt are saddened that they are denied this opportunity to use this sad news as another jab at the Bush administration.
I doubt that the anchors on today's nightly news programs would read the name of each fallen American if they had to read an average of 100 names per night for one month.
However, the stated purpose of the US military 'surge' begun in February 2007 (Operation Fardh al-Qanoon) was to provide security for the civilian population, especially in Baghdad, and contain its sectarian violence. Since September 1, 2007, at least 1146 civilians have been killed in Iraq.
This is not a good number.
NO need. They cause enough American casualties right where they are.
Pelosi and Reid are morally bankrupt. We should pray for their wretched souls.
Claiming that merely stating the purpose of the surge should somehow impact on the death total of the locals is disingenuous at the least and shear lunacy at worst.
Yep. Interesting corner they’ve painted themselves into.
