Two US computer engineers charged with espionage(Chicoms)

California residents Yuefei Ge, 34, of San Jose and Lan Lee, 42 of Palo Alto have been indicted under charges of conspiracy, economic espionage and theft of trade secrets --snip--a new indictment filed yesterday claims the men obtained funding from China's 863 program and The General Armaments Department (GAD) of the People's Liberation Army.

The 863 program is a funding plan created and operated by the People's Republic of China. The program is designed by leading Chinese scientists to develop and encourage the creation of technology in China

I’m surprised there are any secrets left to steal since most of our high tech products are now made in China. Maybe there’s a backlog in the Chines reverse engineering projects.
